Roy Cohen
Roy Cohen specializes in the delivery of career services primarily to senior and mid level executives. He has worked extensively with clients from diverse industries, most notably, Wall Street, retailing and fashion, publishing, consumer products, and entertainment. For over 10 years, he has also served as the sole “in-house” career and outplacement counselor to Goldman Sachs, one of the world’s leading global financial services organizations. Roy earned an MBA at Columbia, a masters in counseling from Colgate and an undergraduate degree from Cornell.

Kenneth W. Porter, EA, MAAA, FCA, Director, Global Benefits, DuPont Co.
Ken Porter Mr. Porter is Finance Director for Corporate Insurance & Global Benefits Financial Planning at The DuPont Company. He is responsible for global property and casualty insurance risks and for the worldwide financial planning and actuarial policy for employee and retiree benefits. He also serves as the Corporate Chief Actuary.

Mr. Porter has served under the direct appointments of senior Administration and Congressional officials of the United States government. He has also testified before committees and sub-committees of the U.S. Congress, the Department of Labor, the Department of the Treasury, and the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation. He was a commissioner for the National Commission on Retirement Savings. He is a Director and former Chair of the ERISA Industry Committee, a Director and former Chair of the American Benefits Council, and a member of the Wharton Executive Education Advisory Board. He has also chaired the Pension Reform Study Group of the Business Roundtable.

Ken is an Enrolled Actuary, a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries, and a Fellow of the Conference of Consulting Actuaries. He previously served as a director of the American Academy of Actuaries, and chaired the Actuarial Board for Counseling and Discipline. He participated in the drafting committee for the original Actuarial Compliance Guidelines for Statements of Financial Accounting Standards (SFAS) No. 87 and No. 88, and chaired the committee that developed the original Actuarial Compliance Guideline for SFAS 106 “Post-Retirement Benefits other than Pensions.”

Dan diBartolomeo

Mr. diBartolomeo is President and founder of Northfield Information Services, Inc. Based in Boston since 1986, Northfield develops quantitative models of financial markets. The firm’s clients include nearly three hundred financial institutions in twenty countries.

Dan is a Visiting Professor at the CARISMA research center of Brunel University in London. In addition, he serves on the Board of Directors of the Chicago Quantitative Alliance and the advisory board of the International Association of Financial Engineers.

Mr. diBartolomeo has written extensively for the CFA Research Foundation. This work includes “The Risk of Equity Securities and Portfolios” published in Equity Specialization Program Readings 1997 and a new wealth management textbook Investment Management for Private, Taxable Wealth (with Jarrod Wilcox and Jeffrey Horvitz). He also provided a chapter on asset allocation for high-net worth individuals for CFA’s recent book, Global Perspectives on Investment Management.

Other writings include chapters in five other textbooks (The Handbook of Municipal Bonds; Advances in Portfolio Construction and Implementation; Linear Factor Models in Finance; Portfolio Analysis: Advanced topics in performance measurement, risk and attribution; Forecasting Volatility). His journal publications include "Socially Screened Portfolios: An Attribution of Relative Performance" (with Lloyd Kurtz) that appeared in the Fall 1996 Journal of Investing; “Investment Performance Measurement and the Probability Distribution of Pension, Assets, Liabilities and Surplus” that appeared in the Spring 1997 Journal of Performance Measurement; and two papers in Financial Analysts Journal, “Approximating the Confidence Interval on Sharpe Style Weights” (with Angelo Lobosco, July 1997) and “Mutual Fund Misclassification” (with Erik Witkowski, September 1997). His most recent publications are “Just Because We Can Doesn’t Mean We Should: Use of Daily Data in Performance Attribution” published in the Spring, 2003 Journal of Performance Measurement, and the “DSI Catholic Values 400” (with Lloyd Kurtz in Journal of Investing 2005).

                                                                                                    
Paul Zemsky, CFA, Head of Multi-Asset Strategies & Solutions Group
Paul Zemsky Paul Zemsky is the head of ING’s Multi-Asset Strategies & Solutions Group. The team’s mandate is to develop products and provide investment solutions that go beyond ING’s traditional investment offerings. The group combines capabilities in derivatives/financial engineering, risk management, asset allocation, liability modeling and pension accounting and multi-strategy portable alpha.

Paul joined ING Investment Management in 2005 as Head of Derivative Strategies. In this role, he oversaw derivative strategies for credit, interest rate, and equity products, and supported the organization on a number of key areas, including product development and risk management for both proprietary and third-party businesses.

Prior to his role at ING Paul spent 18 years at J.P. Morgan Investment Management, where he held a number of key positions, including having responsibility for the market timing and asset allocation for the firm's fixed income business and handling option trading in both the exchange-traded and over-the-counter markets. He was one of the first on Wall Street to identify the potential for portable alpha strategies and liability targeted portfolios. Most recently, he co-founded CaliberOne Private Funds Management, a macro hedge fund. Paul has 21 years of investment experience. He holds a dual degree in finance and electrical engineering from the Management and Technology Program at the University of Pennsylvania.
                                                                                                    
Laurence B. Siegel, Director of Research, Ford Foundation
Larry Siegel Laurence B. Siegel is director of research in the Investment Division of the Ford Foundation in New York, where he has worked since 1994. Before that, he was a managing director of Ibbotson Associates, an investment consulting firm that he helped to establish in 1979. In 2005 Larry was named Research Director of the CFA Institute’s Research Foundation. He holds this position concurrently with his responsibilities at the Ford Foundation.

Mr. Siegel currently chairs the investment committee of the Trust for Civil Society in Central and Eastern Europe. He serves on the investment committee of the NAACP Legal Defense Fund, and advises the boards of many other nonprofit organizations. He was a trustee of the Oberweis Emerging Growth Fund. Larry is a member of the editorial boards of the Journal of Portfolio Management and the Journal of Investing, and is a member of the program committee of the Institute for Quantitative Research in Finance (the Q Group). His first book, Benchmarks and Investment Management, was published by the CFA Institute in 2003. Larry received his BA in urban studies from the University of Chicago in 1975, and his MBA in finance from the same institution in 1977.

Tom Gallagher, CFA, Senior Managing Director, ISI Group
Tom Gallagher

Tom Gallagher is a Senior Managing Director and head of ISI's policy research team in Washington. He has been an Institutional Investor's ranked Washington analyst for each of the past 14 years, and was ranked #1 in the last  four years. Prior to joining ISI in 1999, Tom spent 13 years at Lehman Brothers and 8 years in the federal government. Tom graduated from the University of South Dakota in 1976, received his masters from Harvard's Kennedy School of Government in 1978, and is a CFA charterholder .

Panelists:     Jason Trennert, Managing Partner/Chief Investment Strategist, Strategis
Jason Trennert Mr. Trennert is the Managing Partner and Chief Investment Strategist of the Firm.  For the past four years he has been ranked by Institutional Investor magazine as one of the top Strategists on Wall Street.  In 2006, he was named to SmartMoney’s Power 30 list of the most influential people in the world of investing.  He has earned a reputation as a keen market observer and for his regular, and often humorous, essays on investing.  Widely quoted in the domestic and foreign press, he is a regular guest host on CNBC’s Squawk Box.  He is the author of the popular investment book, New Markets, New Strategies, published in 2005 by McGraw Hill.  Prior to founding Strategas, Mr. Trennert was the Chief Investment Strategist and a Senior Managing Director at International Strategy & Investment (ISI) Group where he built and oversaw two of that Firm’s most popular research efforts, the Company Surveys and more recently, its Investment Strategy Group.  He has an MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and BS in International Economics from Georgetown University.
                                                                                                    
Rich Leggett, CEO and Member of the Board, CFRA Online
Rich Leggett heads RiskMetrics Group’s ISS Governance Services & Financial Research and Analysis units. In this role, he oversees RiskMetrics Group’s corporate governance, proxy voting and financial research and analysis-related businesses.
Leggett brings a broad base of global expertise in investment services to RiskMetrics Group, including an extensive background in investment banking, equity research, and consulting. Previously, Leggett was President and Chief Executive Officer at the Center for Financial Research and Analysis (CFRA) until its recent acquisition by RiskMetrics Group in August 2007. Before joining CFRA in 2005, he was a Managing Director at Goldman Sachs in New York and London, where he worked in both the Investment Banking and Equity Research divisions. Before joining Goldman Sachs, Leggett was Managing Director at Friedman, Billings, Ramsey & Co., Inc. and a senior manager at Accenture.
Leggett is a graduate of Georgetown University and currently serves on the Board of Directors for Investorside, New York City Outward Bound and the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Washington.
