Annual Professional Development DayThe annual Professional Development Day sponsored by CFAP in each fall
provides a great opportunity for investment professionals to enhance their
career development skills, meet other professionals, and network with top
investment firms. The day-long event in downtown Philadelphia features
insightful seminars, panels and workshops covering various perspectives of
career development in investment management, as well as booths hosted by
representatives from top investment firms. In 2004, the 1st Annual Professional
Development Day attracted more than 300 attendants and the enthusiasm was
palpable.
In September 2005, under the sponsorship of both Bloomberg and InvestEdge, the
2nd Annual Professional Development Day again provided compelling insights from both
practitioners and academics into current issues in the Investment Management
industry ranging from High Net-Worth Money Management to an intriguing panel
event focusing on “The New Financial Analysis: Have the Courts & Spitzer
made a difference?” Additionally, Dr. Paul Dunn, a returning Executive Coaching
Speaker agreed to conduct one-on-one mini-executive coaching sessions
throughout the day.
